(Note: this is in OS 10.11 - Apple might have changed this option in later versions of MacOS. There should be a check box for "Show Library Folder". Tip: If you want your Mac to always show your Library folder, go to your Home (user) folder in Finder, then click the gear icon in the window's top bar, and select "Show View Options". Download and deploy Plantronics Hub for Mac Ensure that previous versions of Plantronics software such as Plantronics Spokes or PURE have been uninstalled. If your Mac does not show your User Library folder, go to Finder, hold the Option key, and click on the "Go" menu - Library will be one of the choices in the dropdown list. Removing these files and restarting got rid of SpokesUpdateService. I'm guessing the last one is the culprit. The solution is to uninstall Plantronics Hub. SpokesUpdateService keeps coming back, and gradually eating up more and more memory. I've since found that that SpokesUpdateService keeps running and using more and more memory, even if you don't have Plantronics Hub running, have force quit SpokesUpdateService using Activity Monitor, and have restarted your Mac. A few days ago I mentioned that Plantronics Hub software, used to update the firmware on a Plantronics headset, has a large memory leak, caused by a root process called SpokesUpdateService.
